Unravel Here PODCAST

Why You Don’t Feel Like “Yourself” Anymore

Jun 12, 2025

Let’s just name it:
There comes a point—especially in midlife—when the life that used to fit… just doesn’t anymore.

You can’t quite put your finger on it.
You’re not falling apart.
You’re still showing up, still holding it together.

But something feels off.

You look in the mirror and think:
I don’t feel like myself.

Not in a dramatic, burn-it-all-down kind of way.
It’s subtler than that.
Quieter.
Deeper.

It’s not that you’re becoming someone new.
It’s that you’re finally becoming who you’ve always been.

In this week’s episode of Unravel Here, I share a moment from my own story—second-grade chalkboards included—and explore what happens when the roles we’ve carried (mother, wife, daughter, achiever, fixer, pleaser…) start to loosen.

It can feel disorienting.
But it can also be sacred.

Because what’s underneath all that?
You.
Fully. Finally.

Here’s a moment from the episode:

“Midlife isn’t asking me to reinvent myself.
It’s asking me to unravel.
To stop adjusting.
To stop shrinking.
To stop playing small.
And to return—to the real me, underneath it all.”

If you’ve been feeling the tug to make changes you can’t yet explain…
If your old ways of being feel empty…
You are not broken.
You are becoming.

This is your sacred return.
Not to who you used to be—but to who you were always meant to be.

And if this speaks to you, I’d love to invite you into In-Between—my membership space for women navigating this season of quiet becoming. We don’t rush the unraveling here. We honor it. Together.
